Director Terrence Turner speaks with Jane Perdue

Director Terrence Turner speaks with Jane Perdue about his film Adele’s Wish, a story that reconstructs the legal battles of Maria Altmann when she tried to reclaim five Gustav Klimt paintings that were stolen by the Nazis in 1938. Two of these were famous portraits of her aunt, Adele Bloch-Bauer. Listen in as Turner talks about his background as a filmmaker, the controversy over the paintings’ final destiny and his own family connection to this story. (His wife, Lisa, is Maria Altmann’s great-niece.) This conversation was recorded at the 2009 Reel Artists Film Festival in Toronto. (Running time 15 minutes 59 seconds)
