Daniel Barrow <i>Computer and Eyedrops I</i> 2008

In the past few years, Daniel Barrow—who has spent most of his career in Winnipeg but recently moved to Montreal—has gained an increasingly wide following for his low-tech drawn and projected works that elevate the hard-hitting, emotional narratives of DIY zine and comic-book culture into richly poetic fantasy. Barrow was a finalist for the Sobey award in 2008 and returns this year as the representative for Prairies and the North.
