Shary Boyle’s haunting, psychologically probing, dreamlike images have been rendered masterfully in paint, overhead projections and porcelain sculpture over the past number of years. Boyle’s attention to both emotional and material detail sets her work in the top echelons of the national art scene. In the 2009 Sobey Art Award, Boyle is representing the region of Ontario. This 10-image slide portfolio offers views of her recent work, ending with a spectacular new creation for the Sobey shortlist show.
