The Canadian Art Foundation wishes to thank all the sponsors, speakers, partners, guests and attendees at this year’s Reel Artists Film Festivals in Toronto and Calgary. Both events offered terrific celebrations of art and its creators.

Highlights of the 2012 festivals included the Canadian premiere, with artists and director in attendance, of Marina Abramović The Artist is Present; a free filmmakers’ panel co-presented with Point of View magazine; and a program co-presented with the Alberta College of Art + Design highlighting acts of resistance.

The festival organizers are also pleased to announce that a date has been set for next year’s Toronto festival. It will take place from February 20 to February 24, 2013.
