ABOUT AN TE LIU
Toronto-based artist An Te Liu’s smart sculptural interventions and installations decode domestic and urban realms. He has shown in solo and group exhibitions in New York, Vancouver, San Francisco, Frankfurt, Rotterdam, Cologne, Berlin, Seoul and Toronto, and his work is included in the permanent collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art Gallery of Ontario. In 2008, Liu was the Canada Council’s Artist in Residence at the Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, which published the catalogue An Te Liu: Matter. Liu holds an M. Arch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and is Associate Professor in the Master of Architecture Program at the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto. Liu has exhibited at the 11th Venice Biennale of Architecture and the Canadian Centre for Architecture. He is represented by MKG127. JOIN THE NEW CONTEMPORARIES
