This year’s Gallery Hop theme, “Promise,” celebrates the connection between art, hope and the future. In troubled, messy times the imaginative power of art can expand horizons and raise expectations. Boundaries are not limited by short-term events; orientation shifts to broader points of view that can lead viewers to imagine new realities. Every generation creates its own terms of promise. This year’s selection of panellists acknowledges established artists who have fulfilled their promises to shape the contemporary scene and sets them alongside emerging artists. Join our panel as it delves into the ideas of promise binding our yesterdays, todays and tomorrows. Ontario College of Art and Design, 100 McCaul Street
