Canadian Art Editorial Residency Recipient Announced
The Canadian Art Foundation is delighted to welcome Whitney Light, the winner of this year’s Canadian Art Editorial Residency. The $7,000 national prize is open to students of art and art history in universities and art colleges across Canada. The winner works at Canadian Art magazine for two months in the summer, honing his or her writing and editorial skills, researching and helping to produce book and exhibition reviews.
Whitney Light recently completed her undergraduate studies in art history at the University of Winnipeg. She served as arts editor of the Uniter, the university’s student newspaper, and currently writes music features and reviews for the University of Winnipeg magazine Stylus. She is an avid follower of the Winnipeg art scene and writes a column on visual art for the Winnipeg weekly Uptown.
