Employment Opportunity: Online Production Manager

Canadian Art is currently seeking an online production professional to join its team. Canadian Art is the leading visual-arts magazine in Canada—an award-winning, prestigious quarterly that showcases both contemporary and historical art.

Canadian Art is published by the Canadian Art Foundation, the charitable organization responsible for the Folio-magazine-award-winning Canadian Art Gallery Hop Gala and the Reel Artists Film Festival.

Online Production Manager
This is a full-time position, limited contract.

Responsibilities include the following:
• Adapting text and images from print magazine for online
• Using content management system to upload print and web exclusive content
• Creating weekly and monthly newsbulletins for online subscribers and advertisers; managing recipient lists
• Creating online advertiser support materials
• Qualifying prospects for online ads, sending emails, making cold calls
• Managing online advertising schedule and contracts, creating and uploading ads
• Providing weekly and quarterly reports on reader trends
• Advising on user-friendly organization of site
• Organizing and tracking all online contests
• Creating webpages for special projects and programs
• Ensuring all brand positioning on website is consistent
• Advising and developing new online initiatives
• Liaising with service provider for magazine digital edition
• Liasing with various suppliers—hosting, domain, ad serve software, etc.

Basic Requirements:
• Must be enthusiastic and a great communicator with excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency in HTML, Dreamweaver, Google Analytics, Campaign Monitor, Flash, Photoshop and InDesign; Bricolage experience is an asset
