Join the New Contemporaries and get to know artist An Te Liu on an intimate studio visit June 29!

The Canadian Art Foundation’s young patrons group, the New Contemporaries, will celebrate summer in style with acclaimed Toronto artist An Te Liu on Wednesday, June 29. The New Contemporaries will get a special chance to check out Liu’s studio and get to know the artist and his work over dinner and drinks. Expect great conversation, fabulous food and the chance to chat one-on-one with one of Canada's most interesting artists.

 Ticket price is $50 and includes a signed catalogue by the artist, intimate studio visit and dinner with An Te Liu and the New Contemporaries. Not a member of the New Contemporaries yet? ABOUT AN TE LIU
Toronto-based artist An Te Liu’s smart sculptural interventions and installations decode domestic and urban realms. He has shown in solo and group exhibitions in New York, Vancouver, San Francisco, Frankfurt, Rotterdam, Cologne, Berlin, Seoul and Toronto, and his work is included in the permanent collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art Gallery of Ontario. In 2008, Liu was the Canada Council's Artist in Residence at the Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, which published the catalogue An Te Liu: Matter. Liu holds an M. Arch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and is Associate Professor in the Master of Architecture Program at the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto. Liu has exhibited at the 11th Venice Biennale of Architecture and the Canadian Centre for Architecture. He is represented by MKG127.
