In this audio interview with Canadian Art editor Richard Rhodes, artists Josh Thorpe and Mathew McWilliams discuss finding their place in the art world, sharing an interest in the legacies of minimalism and maintaining a friendship that dates back to public school in Vancouver. In April, the Toronto-based Thorpe participates in “On Printed Matter” with David Court at Printed Matter in New York while the Paris-based McWilliams is part of “Whatever Works” at db project in Sydney. In November, both artists will show in “Like-Minded,” an exhibition curated by Micah Lexier for Plug In ICA in Winnipeg. (Audio running time: 19 minutes)
