Emily Carr University of Art + Design encourages applications from individuals with demonstrated ability in visual arts, design and media arts, and who show the motivation to further develop their ability to engage in critical discourse about their art, design or media practice.

Resources at Emily Carr support student learning and academic programs as well as the general community. From professional and student exhibition space to one of Vancouver's best bookstores and libraries for resources on art, design and contemporary culture, the University plays an important role in the city's cultural community.

HOUSING FACILITIES

There are a number of housing options available for students. While the University does not offer on-campus housing, we do assist students in locating housing in a number of ways.

Our housing website provides a searchable database of current housing listings in nearby neighbourhoods, a description of the areas of Vancouver, tips for planning your search, advice for renters, and a list of temporary places you can stay when you first arrive.
