    FINANCE, TUITION, SCHOLARSHIPS AND LOANS

OCAD University is committed to Ontario's Student Access Guarantee, that states: "No qualified Ontario student should be prevented from attending our publicly assisted colleges and universities because of a lack of financial support programs. The Student Access Guarantee means students in need will have access to the resources they need for their tuition, books and mandatory fees."

At OCAD University, education costs will be met by a variety of sources, including OSAP, bursaries, scholarships, awards and opportunities to work on campus. In addition to the online resource information, staff in the Financial Aid & Awards office can advise students with respect to their financial situation, provide referrals to the appropriate financial assistance programs, and assist them with securing the resources required to meet their post-secondary education costs.

    FACULTY & ALUMNI

Throughout its distinguished history, OCAD University has been shaped by many of Canada’s leading figures in art and design. One of the institution’s earlier principals, celebrated painter George A. Reid, designed its first purpose-built home on Grange Park, a beautiful Georgian building that to this day is part of the OCAD U campus. The Group of Seven’s Arthur Lismer and J.E.H. MacDonald were once vice-principal and principal, respectively. Many other famous Canadians have taught or studied at OCAD U, including artists Fred Hagan, Jock Macdonald, Michael Snow, Graham Coughtry, Doris McCarthy, Gordon Rayner and, more recently, Colette Whiten, Joanne Tod, Barbara Astman, Gary Neill Kennedy, Ian Carr-Harris, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Rebecca Belmore, George Bures Miller, David Rokeby, Kristan Horton, and Shary Boyle; as well as designers Clair Stewart, Carl Dair, Allan Fleming, Theo Dimson, Ken Rodmell and, more recently, Debbie Adams, Helen Kerr, Anita Kunz, Douglas Ball, Marcos Chin, Donald Stuart, Gary Clement, Gary Taxali, Jeremy Kramer, Floria Sigismundi and Scot Laughton.

Arthur Desmarteaux & Allison Moore: Micropolis 2.0
Micropolis 2.0, an exhibition by Montréal-based collaborators Arthur Desmarteaux and Allison Moore, is an ever-expanding and evolving installation comprised of collaged screen and digital prints, evokes a busy, commercial street with pedestrians, creatures and vehicles passing by. The installation has an anthropological character inspired by the cityscapes of Québec City, Montréal and Toronto. The installation explores urban life and the relationships between people and large cities. The enchanted universe presented conveys a sense of wonder, awe and contemplation; viewers are drawn in, entering a strange dimension that evokes a childhood world filled with twisted dreams and figures.
